Angie Smith - Maid of Honor
After first meeting at Bothell High School playing tennis, Angie and I went to college together at the University of Washington. We attended many concerts, celebrated birthdays where you cover everything in sticky googly eyes, made real green eggs and ham, road tripped to Idaho to see our favorite band, made a recycling pile tower during finals, figuring out how to "adult", I could go on for hours. Some of the best years of my life were living together during the latter half of college. She is truly one of those people that is "weird enough to be a best friend" and we share the same random wavelength of thought. I am so thrilled to have her be my maid of honor.
Katie and I met back in the oh-so-awkward days of Junior High. We immediately clicked as the nerdy kids sharing the same schedule of "highly capable" classes. As we grew older, we helped each other through every tough class, difficult boy, "insert typical high school/young adult problem here". She is one of the most driven gals I have ever met. Plus, Katie is always ready to lend and ear and share a beer.
I met Meahgan while working at Google mapping on the Indoor Team. Carpooling to work together, we quickly grew to be close friends sharing many a "girls night/jam night." This woman is such an inspiration working as a firefighter, EMT, and rocking Irish punk violin. Meahgan is a craft wizard always finding inspiration and creating things. We share the same sense of humor where we will be in stitches as others look over in confusion.
Mackenzie is the oldest friend of mine in my entourage! Going all the way back to 6th grade, she has truly seen quite the transformation and been there through the good, the bad, the ugly, the hilarious, and the random. In high school, on Halloween we once dressed up as pirates and "pillaged" (otherwise known as walking around taking random selfies). As we grew older, we took our "pillaging" to Ballard and visit our favorite bars together to share good beer and conversation.
